Printed garments: We recommend ironing the garment inside out and at a low temperature, as well as avoiding ironing the printed area for too long. If possible, we recommend inserting an additional cloth between the iron and the garment to be ironed, thus avoiding the appearance of shiny marks or streaks.
The T-shirt (literally "T-shaped shirt") is a short-sleeved, round-necked garment with a straight-cut torso that gives it the classic "T" shape. Short-sleeved shirts worn by young Americans and Europeans in the 1950s and 1960s were predominantly white, but by the late 1970s, the trend of wearing colorful T-shirts emerged, including football or soccer team jerseys. While similar clothing items with varying sleeve lengths can be found, examples of T-shirt-like garments can be traced back to ancient times (among the Etruscans) and the Renaissance. However, the widespread use of T-shirts as undergarments and workwear only began in the 18th and 19th centuries due to their comfort and the absence of collars, which were associated with elegance. Sailors in the 19th century wore a variant of the contemporary model, characterized by typical horizontal stripes. In the 1940s, the U.S. armed forces adopted the crew-necked T-shirt as part of their uniform, leading to its extensive use in Europe during World War II. The popularity of the T-shirt as a fashion item, beyond its intimate or work-related use, solidified in the 1950s when American fashion spread globally through cinema. Famous actors such as James Dean and Marlon Brando wore the iconic white short-sleeved T-shirt on the big screen, paired with jeans, establishing the T-shirt as a staple of contemporary fashion. It was in the 1980s that the T-shirt gained prominence as a creative garment and a means of communication through decorative motifs and slogans. The messages conveyed through T-shirts took on diverse forms and meanings, including irony (the first smileys appeared on T-shirts), advertising, politics, and geography (e.g., city names on T-shirts produced by various Hard Rock Cafes worldwide).
